I just finished watching my 15 month old niece for a week and a half and realize the difficulties in balancing the life of a mom and the life of exercise.

As a full-time working business owner, I too struggle finding the time to exercise. So, this week I'd like to share some tips to find the time to exercise amidst a busy schedule.

For the baby mama's out there:

Exercise during nap times or before baby wakes up for the day

Exercise when dad gets home from work

Utilize your gym's child care center

Buy a DVD that baby can play along with (a dance aerobics DVD, a 'walk to the beat' DVD, a kickboxing DVD, etc)

Take your baby for a walk every day as a bonding time

Instead of sitting on the couch and watching your baby play, get down on the floor and play with them

Take an online workout class (www.physiic.com)

For the working women out there:

Statistically, businesswomen who exercise in the mornings before work stick to it and are more likely to go

Every half hour, get up and walk around the office

Schedule your workouts like you schedule your business meetings (a certain time and surely not to be missed)

Find a friend at your office to work out with or find a personal trainer to keep you on track!

Go for a walk during your lunch break...this is real easy to do with all the sunny weather here in Colorado Springs!

Start an exercise program at your office! Play a DVD during lunch and invite coworkers to join you!

All women have troubles putting themselves first, and finding the time to make themselves a priority. Keep in mind that if you don't take care of yourself, you will be unable to take care of others.
