Monday October 24th is the first annual Food Day created by the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI). A fat burning overview can help you produce a clear summarize of what you need to focus on to complete your fat burning objective if you're a rookie; or serve as a reminder for these who are at an advanced or more advance step of their weightloss plan. Promptly after are seven steps that can serve as instructions for your special weight loss plan. The first thing that one must understand is that losing weight and losing fat is not the same. Many weight loss plans have tricked people into wondering that it is the same, but most diets and weight loss applications only work by causing a person's body to reduce more muscle tissue and water than actual body fat, more help please visit The Fat Loss Factor. The goal of Food Day is to transform the American diet by changing policies that affect the food supply and at the same time change individual's behavioral choices that lead to better health.

Michael Jacobson, the executive director of CSPI, realized that America's food system needs attention. Although strides have been made by offering more organics in stores and eliminating Trans fats from products, the obesity epidemic is still increasing. This epidemic is leading to high rates of stroke, diabetes, cancer, and early death; all can be reduced if nutritionists, environmentalists, anti-hunger activists, and food justice advocates work together to eliminate problems that plague the industry. "We want all Americans to be able to select healthy diets and foods and avoid diet related conditions and diseases regardless of age, income, or geographic location".

Food Day's campaign is aimed at:

  • Reducing diet related disease by promoting safe and healthy foods
  • Supporting sustainable farms and limiting subsidies to big agribusiness
  • Expanding access to food and alleviating hunger Protecting the environment and animals by reforming factory farms
  • Promoting health by curbing junk food marketing to children Supporting fair working conditions for food and farm workers

Celebrations of Food Day will be going on across the country, however if there is not a celebration available in your community, create one of your own; Plan and prepare a family dinner using all whole organic foods and grass fed beef or pasture raised chickens, offer to take bags of fruits and vegetables to low income schools or food pantries, or shop your local farmers market in an effort to support your town's farmers.
